Billing Coordinator

We currently have a great opportunity for a Billing Coordinator based in our Los Angeles office. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for performing all functions related to processing and distributing the firm’s client invoices.  This includes generating and editing proformas, entering and modifying time and cost entries, sending invoices to clients, and assisting with month-end closing tasks. This position requires the ability to work effectively within a team structure, possess great communication skills, and have the ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice.

What You'll Do

  • Process client invoices and ensure that invoices are in compliance with billing policies and procedures.
  • Generate and distribute month-end and on-demand proformas.
  • Document and update all billing procedures including electronic billing process for each client.
  • Assist with month-end closing process which includes running reports, verifying that all time entries and cost entries have been entered and uploaded, finalizing all batches and running final audit reports.
  • Provide assistance to attorneys, secretaries and clients including answering billing questions, running AR and unbilled reports, providing invoice copies, and providing detailed or summarized information regarding time and cost entries.
  • Monitor missing time and proactively follow up to ensure timely time entry.
  • Assist others within the department (accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections) when needed.
  • In addition to the above, assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of billing experience
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Previous legal billing experience is preferred


  • Salary to be based upon experience and education; we're targeting between $60,000-$75,000 annual
