The 1L Diversity Scholars Program is open to first-year students who have exhibited perseverance and excellence on their path toward a career in law and a commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession. Applicants also must be first-year J.D. students (with an anticipated graduation year of 2027) in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school. Successful candidates should have a record of academic achievement, leadership qualities, strong writing and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in real estate law in California after graduation. (Real estate law includes transactional commercial real estate, environmental, land use, and real estate litigation practices.)
Applications will be accepted beginning November 15, 2024. Applications must be received by January 31, 2025 and will be considered on a rolling basis. Please provide your resume, undergraduate and law school transcripts, a writing sample, and a personal statement. You may submit your resume, undergraduate transcript, writing sample, and personal statement for review in advance of your law school transcript, as we understand that grades may not be available until early 2025.Upon receipt of first-semester law school grades, please update your application.
The anticipated 2025 summer associate compensation is $3,942 a week.
